About Community Church Harlesden

Our church in Harlesden started in 2006 as a small group of friends wanting to be a Christian community in London.  We meet in each other's homes, building relationships amongst ourselves and others in the local area. We share a vision and values, but welcome and celebrate the diversity that each of us brings in working these out as we continue to develop as a community.

The vision of Community Church Harlesden is:

  • To be a Christian community that brings the peace and hope of Jesus Christ to Harlesden, London and the wider world.

We have eight values that we aim to live by:

  • We are centred on Jesus, directed by the Bible and inspired by the Holy Spirit.
  • We believe that God can transform people’s lives.
  • We value relationships as the foundation of all that we do together.
  • We aim to serve the local community and to maintain a global perspective.
  • We desire to be a welcoming church that is socially, culturally and ethnically diverse.
  • We encourage participation by everyone.
  • We want to be generous with our time and money.
  • We are open to change as we seek to embody the gospel in a changing world.

Community Church Harlesden is a part of the Salt & Light family of churches.
