Our story

We have been on an adventure together in Harlesden since 2006 – following Jesus and exploring what it means to be church in the twenty-first-century. We gather on Sunday mornings and also believe that our faith will impact the whole of our lives. We try to support and challenge each other in all areas: we worship, live, learn, work, pray, create music, mourn, grow things, and party together. We celebrate the diversity that each new person brings to the church as we continue to grow.

Harlesden

Most of us live within a few minutes walk of each other in Harlesden, NW10. We love sharing life together. We seek to bring the peace and hope of Jesus through living and worshipping here. We work with other churches and run various projects including Let’s Talk Money and Youth work.

London

We support each other in seeking to bring the peace and hope of Jesus to our city. Many of us work in different sectors and roles across London and feel a strong sense of calling to our workplaces. We get behind each other’s dreams and try our best to carry each other’s burdens. We talk and pray about our work within our Sunday services, small groups, and prayer breakfasts. A few organisations have grown out of the vision of CCH and remain integrated with our life as a church. These include Refugee Education UK and Jigsaw Consult.

The wider world

We try to be a church community with a global outlook. This means we take seriously our ecological responsibilities to steward the earth and encourage one another to live lightly and creatively. We also partner with a small number of overseas missions, through friendship, prayer and finances.

We enjoy working in close relationship with several other churches in our local area. We are part of the Forge network of churches. Community Church Harlesden is a company limited by guarantee (no. 6370416) and a registered charity (no. 1121958).
